Roll Forming
Tooling
At Roll-Kraft, our legacy has long been established as
the industry leader in providing precision roll tooling to
tube and pipe producers around the world.
Backed by
our vast experience in
Roll
Forming Machine Engineering,
Roll
Forming Machine Manufacturing, and technical
support, Roll-Kraft combines innovative solutions and
high-quality workmanship with its world-class facilities and
dedicated staff – resulting in maximum performance,
reliability, and value for our customers.
Quality begins with engineering. Our
Tooling
designers utilize custom-designed software that develops the
forming progression and tooling drawings. We have perfected
many designs and offer numerous options and roll
configurations to best suit your application.
We
utilize
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software
for specialty or uncommon applications. This software
simulates the tooling design before manufacturing begins. We
can better predict specific problems associated with mill
configuration, material properties, and reshaping, as never
before.
Together with state-of-the-art
Roll
Forming Machine manufacturing facilities,
quality materials, and a quality management system (ISO
9001:2000 certified), we guarantee your tooling will be
designed and built to maximize performance.
Special Materials:
Soft Urethane – This material is
used when grip is needed and the product surface cannot be
crushed back flat. Perforated or louvered tubing are
examples of uses for this material.
Nylon –
Nylon is used when the surface condition of the final
product is crucial and no other material will suffice. Dead
soft aluminum and some stainless steel tube can be made
completely mark free with a nylon application.
AMPCO - AMPCO is used in areas where the absence of
marking is critical and more tooling wear is required. It is
commonly used in stainless steel applications, as well as
for weld rolls, due to its non-magnetic properties. It is
available in different grades and levels of hardness.
AMPCO
Bronze Weld Rolls
CPM
10V
and A11
– These materials can be used in many
applications, and they have a longer life than D2 steel.
They have worked very well in bead rolling and hammering
operations in stainless steel tube and pipe. This material
can last two to three times longer than D2 in certain areas
when forming carbon steels.
